Just a ten-minute walk away lies the cable car valley station at Harschbichl, the local name for our side of the Kitzbüheler Horn. An even faster option – taking just five minutes or so – is the free ski bus, which stops right outside our front door. Your guest card is your free ticket for the bus.
It’s even easier for cross-country skiers, as the nearest ski trail is just a five-minute walk from our building.
Immaculate ski slopes and long cross-country trails make the Kitzbühel Alps, which are blessed by an abundance of snow, a popular setting for winter sports for all levels of experience. The St. Johann ski resort in Tyrol alone has 43 kilometres of pistes and 17 ski lifts – compelling enough reasons in themselves for a visit to the region. A fully automatic artificial snow system ensures downhill fun can be had easily, even if the weather has other ideas in mind.
A mere 20-minute drive will take you to the neighbouring ski resorts of Kitzbühel, Wilder Kaiser, Fieberbrunn, Steinplatte/Waidring and Pillersee/Buchensteinwand.
If you don’t want to settle for one single resort, the Super Ski Card will give you access to 23 ski regions in Tyrol and Salzburg with just a single card – that’s more than 2750 kilometres of slopes and 937 lift facilities.
Cross-country skiers will also find the perfect setting for enjoying sport in natural surroundings in the Kitzbühel Alps, with more than 250 kilometres of carefully prepared ski trails. What’s more, use of these cross-country trails, which all have the Tyrol cross-country quality seal, is free of charge for guests.
